What is the PBDC Family
Fund? The PBDC Family Fund was established to
provide emergency food relief for PBDC client families, in crisis with no
immediate means to secure food. It has since expanded to provide medicine,
housing assistance, utility assistance, school supplies, school uniforms for
families in need. In addition the fund
provides for incentives and rewards for the children, of families we serve,
who demonstrate success either academically or with behavior management. As the
fund grows we hope to create a scholarship program for parents to
attend conferences and trainings. Who receives these funds? PBDC families who express one of the needs
listed above and children who achieve significant academic or behavioral
goals. What families qualify for
the emergency funds? Assistance goes to PBDC client families who
are suffering financially and only after all avenues for support have been
exhausted. |
