Developed by Parents for Behaviorally Different Children’s Delfy Roach
and psychologist Dr. Joab Gouveia, the Respiro manual and trainings were
purchased by the State of New Mexico to develop behavioral respite care
across the state. Available for the first time nationwide, the Respiro manual gives step by step
instructions to creating and maintaining effective behavioral respite care. Included in the Respiro manual are sections on: Respite Concepts, Definition, and
Eligibility The Behavioral Respite Care Agency The Behavioral Respite Care
Provider The Behavioral Respite Care Family The Behavioral Respite Care
Training Curriculum Sample forms, along with policies and procedures, guide agencies in the
creation of behavioral respite care from implementing and marketing of the
service, to hiring and evaluating respite workers. Easy to follow curriculums
are provided to train the behavioral respite agency and behavioral respite
care providers. Respiro manual is $250. Agencies need to buy only one
