Parents for Behaviorally Different Children is a nonprofit
organization serving the state of New Mexico. PBDC was formed by families of
children and adolescents with neurobiological, emotional and behavioral differences. A
leader in the field of child and adolescent mental health, the organization
provides individual advocacy, educational materials, and trainings and
seminars for families, mental health
professionals and the community at large.
PBDC Family Advocates support families by advocating for them in the
educational, service-delivery and juvenile justice systems. The goal of the
Family Advocate is to assist the family in achieving the family’s desired outcomes for
the success of their child and family. A Family Advocate acts as a learned
partner bringing resources, options and ideas to the table. |
